Mission
Expressivist composition scholar, Peter Elbow, writes, “The rhetorical expressionists viewed writing not as a rhetorical act or a practical means of communication but as a way of helping students become emotionally and psychologically healthier and happier, more fulfilled and self actualized.” Jim Shelton, assistant deputy secretary for innovations and improvement at the United States Department of Education believes, “technology is core and essential to the strategies we are using to reform education.” In light of these two statements, it is our belief that combining writing and technology only makes good sense in the 21st Century. Our goal is to provide a collective website for educators and students to make that union an amicable alliance, as well as provide a “go to” resource that will incorporate the skills writers have perfected into a process that will align social growth with personal awareness.
