Using Google Groups in the Classroom
With Google Groups, students can get into small groups and work online. Google Groups can be organized by folders or stars and can be accessed both on the web and on a smart phone. Google Groups can also be searched through Gmail. A teacher can create specific groups for the students, decide what type of group it will be (and how it can be accessed), and then limit the group to only invited members. Thus, the teacher can control who is allowed and who has access to the groups and even the topics. See the pictures in this section for a visual representation of how setting up a Google Group would look.
